The Descendants of John and Sarah Dollins of Virginia

Updated November 9, 2000

About Our Family Research

I presently have information going back to the 1680's. Some of this information was given to me by my aunt Iva. Every year on the Sunday of Labor Day weekend, there is a family reunion at Coon Island, Neelyville, Missouri. By attending this reunion, I keep in close contact with my living family and learn more about my ancestors. This past reunion, we were introduced to a line of Dollins' from Texas that we did not know of. Every year there is always something exciting and new happening at these reunions. The reunion is a pot-luck dish dinner. It has always been appreciated when everyone helps out with the food. A bag of chips, some hotdogs, or even a couple bottles of soda pop is really appreciated. Living five hours(driving time) from the reunion site, I travel to and from the reunion all in the same day. This is awful tiring but well worth it! Family togetherness is very fulfilling and the best way to keep the question of "Where did I come from?" answered!!!
