I am getting some information from living relatives; Ellis Island records;and plan to go to cemeteries in the vicinity. I also have some information from marriage invitations;death certificates. But much is missing since relatives came to the US before the turn of the 19th century and I don't have access to more thatn a few actual documents. I am interested in a search back to my great-great grandparents but that would take me to Europe..... The FTW CD's have not been helpful. I need info from the 1900 census which is on microfilm as well as naturalization papers. I understand about soundex.
