The Dombroske family of Minnesota

Updated November 9, 2000

About Our Family Research

Right now I do not have any documentation of information to put in here of my paternal grandparents, Joseph and Mary Donbroske. I know that they came to states from Poland (possibly) but have no dates. My dad, Leo Dombroske, was one of 12 children and all are gone now except for the wife of one brother.(Ione Dombroske)

After coming to the states they settled in a little town in south central Minnesota called Wells. I have no record of employment but as growing up I know that he had enough land to have a large garden, but don't think that was enough for anything other then their own use.

After a tornado in Wells in Aug of 1946 we lost our home and so we moved into the upstairs of my Grandparents home and lived there till 1954 when My Grandpa died of postrate cancer. I was in my senior year of school. My parents moved to Albert Lea Minnesota and I married shortly after that in 1955 and resided with my husband in Seattle Washington where he was stationed while in the Army.
