I feel that knowing your family is like discovering a great treasure. I thank my uncle Tony Manibusan of Escondido, CA, for having the precious knowledge of knowing who our ancestors are and sharing with me this great treasure.
In March 1999, I was allowed to participate in our family reunion in Guam. It was so wonderful to see our family expand with the many grand and great grandchildren that keeps accumulating. I was more excited and grateful to see our elders because it was them who gave us what we have today.
At the reunion, I saw cousins I never met before and cousins who I last saw when I was a child. I was excited to see my childhood cousin Fae Superales (now married).
I'm waiting for our next reunion and I hope that will be soon because it looks like a lot of our families are moving to the mainland USA. I have been living in Hawaii for 12 years. I work here as a teacher and live in Mililani. I do plan on moving back to Guam very soon.
I will end here until I find more to say. Thank you so much.

I just found out from my mother that "Manibusan" originated from Australia and is spelled "Manihusan."
