Charles Fleming (son of John Fleming and Mercy Fleming) was born 1652 in Scotland, and died October 17, 1717 in New Kent County, Virginia. He married Susanna Tarleton on 1684, daughter of Stephan Tarleton and Susanna Tarleton.

Charles Fleming was born 1652, 1652, Scotland. "Charles Fleming was a head right of Emperor, Gale and Morgan 18 Feb. 1653". He married about 1684, New Kent County, Virginia, Susannah Tarleton, daughter of Susannah and Stephen Tarleton, who were in the Colony of Virginia by 1664 and lived in New Kent County.

"April 18, 1668, Charles Fleming, Planter, New Kent County, Virginia, received a grant for 1079 acres in the Parish of St. Peter in the county aforesaid to the line which divides this from the lands of John Fleming dec'd." This was for importing twenty-two persons (Va. Land Grants, Book 7 p658; Book 8 p105) (Finding Your Forefathers in America, A.F.Bennett 1957 p129]
