My research into our family genealogy started in the mid 1980s with a simple 3 generation tree as a Girl Scout project for my daughter Jeanelle. A short time later my fathers health began to decline and I became more and more interested in learning as much family history as I could. Armed with a copy of an old Johnson Family Genealogy from 1956, my mothers excellent memory of family members and one of the very earliest versions of FamilyTreeMaker, I pushed forward. We have documented the familes of Roxanne and I including Douglass, Johnson, Mead, Seamans, Rose, DeVall, Hadcock, Roarke, Timerson, Aldrich and others located mainly in the Finger Lakes Section of Central New York State. It has evolved into one my favorite hobby passtimes and now includes scrapbook pictures, audio files, cemetery photos and many notes and narratives. I submitted FTM data several years ago to the World Family Tree and now realize that I am way overdue in providing an update. It is coming soon I promise. Additionally a family book is on the way as time allows.
