Greetings. This is a compilation of info re the Doucette/ Doucet family who resided in Iron River, Wisconsin in late 1800's and whose father emigrated to the USA from Rustico, Prince Edward Island, Canada. At this time, Joseph Doucet became Joseph Doucette. His brother Jonas Doucet also emigrated with him and became Jonas Doucette. Jonas also spelled Douzatte. It is somewhat apparent that the person registering them for entry into the US, changed the spelling. This Joseph Doucet is the father of Joseph Isaac Doucette born in Iron River, Wisconsin and lived in Superior, wisconsin. Joseph Isaac also had a son, Joseph Raymond (Bud), who has a son Joseph Michael. And four Josephs seems to be enough... as the last in the line has three daughters.
