Thomas Alfred Smith Family

Updated September 1, 2006

About Our Family Research

My family is very close even though we are thinning out of the Smith name. My Dad's side (Smith), was from Texas Co. MO, Warren Co., TN, somewhere in NC and the oldest that we know of was Spotsylvania Co. VA where we found Larkin. We have found two Larkin Smiths and both of them are the same ca. plus both of them have a John Smith as ther father. That is our problem, which John Smith did we come from. I hope it ISN'T from the famous Capt. John from what I've read about him. Hopefully, with help, we will find out. So far I have found the following:
Thomas Alfred b. 9-20-1909 d. 9-20-1987. Robert Downing b. 7-23-1880 d. 2-6-1963. Both in Texas Co. MO. Thomas Calhoun b.12-15-1855 McMinnville, TN d. 7-7-1935 in Texas Co Mo as was his father William Franklin b. 7-19-1820 d.6-1-1907. His father William was born in NC and d. 8-26-1881 in Warren Co TN. His father Larkin married Sophia A.Tazwell Taliferro and was in Spotsylvania Co. VA. No other info on him.
