My grandfather, Max Oettel, married Keoroline Fietchner in 1889
They had seven children, Albert, Henri (Harry), Walter, George,
Julia, Frank and my father, William. Albert and George died at
the age of eight and nine. Henri married Fanny ? They had no
children. Walter never married. Julia married Daniel Jamison,
They had four children, Daniel, Julia, Caroline and Helene.
Frank married Isabel Rienhardt and had one daughter, Elizabeth.
William married Helen Moreland and had two children, William
and Lynne Carol. I have been in touch with Max,s brother Albin's
great grand daughter who provided me with information on the
Oettel's. Max, Albin, Emil, Paul and Marie all came from Germany
although we only know that Paul entered Ellis Island. We don't know where the others have entered. I found out from my cousin,
that they were children of Frederick Oettel and Amelia Schwibble.
They are beleived to have 13 children. I don't know if the others remained in Germany or also came to the United States.
I am trying to find out as much information as possible on the
Oettel's to pass on to my seven grandchildren.
