About Our Family Research

Michael Dran, my paternal grandfather, immigrated to the US in 1890, residing first in Jeansville PA then in Hazleton, PA. He was Carpatho-rusyn from the Jaslo district of Galicia; the village of Swiatkova Wielka. He had six children with his first wife, Anna Chomyk. Anna was from the village of Swiatkowa Wielka also, however they were married in the U.S. in St. Mary's Greek Catholic Church, Hazleton. I am one of the three daughters of his second son,Fred Theodore Dran. I am researching the following paternal surnames; DRAN, CHOMYK/HOMIK,
GRATSON/GRACON/GRACZON,URAM
and maternal surnames:SIRAK,SZIRY/SIRY,KOTLAR/KOTLARZ,
WDOWIAK,SZLOTTA/SLOTA
