My great grandfather, Angus Campbell married Christian McKenzie(Nova Scotia) Their youngest son Martin married Ella Pugsley (River Hebert). They divorced after my father Colin Campbell was born. Ella brought Colin to the Salida area (Colorado) in 1897.
My mother was one of Joseph B. and Rebecca(Alway)Sage's daughters.
Joseph's father was Levi Sage and his mother Miriam Swayzee. His
grandparents were Comfort and Susannah(Lawrence) Sage. Comfort's father, Allen Sage, married Christina, the daughter of Chief Joseph Brant and his first wife Margaret (Sasaya)
MY grandmother, Rebecca Alway Sage, was the oldest child of Thomas and Phyla (Chilson) Alway. Thomas' parents were William and Elizabeth (Morgan) Alway from the area around Lucan, Ontario. Joseph and Rebecca Sage had 11 children. My mother was Luella(her twin was Lawrence). They were born in 1902, Salida, Colorado. Colin Pugsley Campbell and Luella Verona Sage were married in Salida, CO, June 3, 1926.Their children are Norman Colin, David Lawrence, and Helen Louise. I, Helen, married Keith W. Drake Aug. 28, 1959, in Gunnison, CO. We have one son Kelly Clifton who married Julie Kay Miller May 16,1992, They have two daughters, Stephanie McKenna and Jordon Nicole.
