Im Carol Dukes, My Line of Dukes starts with my father, Boyd DeWayne, Then his father Ward Dukes, then Thomas Steven Dukes, John Dukes, the Andrew Dukes. Andrew was born in N.Y. abt. 1740, Moved with his family to Old Fort Oh.. There he met and married a unknown women, they had three children, Anna, Sophia, John. When John was young his mother died. Then Andrew married Gertrude DuMond and had Six more Children. Andrews Son John Married Lancy DuMond (Gertrudes younger sister). Andrews daughter Sophia married Gertrudes Brother Issac Dumond. Andrew owned several acres of land and was quite wealthy. He gave land for a cemetery across from his home. The cemetery was named the Dukes Cemetery, but now is called Pleasent Union Cemetery.
