Our family search has been difficult as my grandparents on my mother's side died in Arizona of the 1918 Influenza. Their five children were separated and did not see each other for Twenty-five years. Little information has been kept and there are stories but they have not been confirmed. We have had three family reunions but family history was not the main topic of conversation as we were more interested in meeting many family members for the first time.
As for my father's side of the family, we have been unable to get much information as his family was very dysfunctional and he left our family when we were very young.
A few items have survived: my grandparents marriage license, a map of some property sold in Mexico, and some information about my Great Grandfather's ministry and the founding of two protestant churches in Arizona for the Mexican families who resided in the area, and his being a member of the Masons.
