About Our Family Research

I have been conducted extensive research on the roots of my mother's family for several years. On my grandmother's side are the Stoltz who are first found in Mount Joy Township, in first York, later a part of Adams County. The Stoltz famiy moved to Liberty Township in the lower part of Adams County. The family moved with others from Liberty to Darke County , Ohio in about 1837-38. They settled in the Greenville, and Gettysburg areas.Stoltz's stayed in the area and moved to many other areas through the next few generations. I have 8 generations of this family, with many pictures, letters, etc. Other important families are the John Myers family from Pa. and Tennent family of the same. These families intermarried. My grandmother was Maud Stoltz Cowan.
On my granfather's side the surnames are Cowan, Brown, Kilbourne, Doe, Ferguson, etc. mostly from the Maine and Mass. area. I have their complete lines and much information to share.
