My family lived in Louisville, Ky up to the early 1940's. Sometime in the early 40's they moved to Charlestown, Indiana. There were 11 children,(9 girls and 2 boys) born to my parents, Sylvester Joseph Grote and Mary Catherine Hayes. I know my father was of German decent, but I have no futher information other then that they died at a early age, leaving my father an orphan.My father died in 1973 in Charlestown, Indiana.
