Boone/Cameron Families of Alabama

Updated August 16, 2010

About Our Family Research

Our line of Boones settled in Prattville/Pine Level, Autauga, Alabama when they arrived in the early 1800's. Our line started with Nicholas Boon, from Devon, Exeter Co., England who brought his family to America in the 1600's. Nicholas had to 2 sons, Nicholas Boon and Thomas Boon both born in England, we are from the Thomas Boon line of the Isle of Wright Co., Virginia.
The spelling of Boon is correct and the "e" was added with my grandfather in the late 1800's. We are not direct descendents of the famous Daniel Boone.

The Cameron side is my Mother's lineage, we are traced back to the Mayflower, of which we are direct desendents of John Alden and Priscilla Mullins (Molines) who were passengers. Abigail Alden married Ebenezer Byram, Jr. and the Byram name followed down the line to my grandmother Katie Myrtle Byram who married into the Cameron family.
