I became interested in my family history as a young child listening to my mother tell stories about her family, and how far back her family went. As a young man my uncle (my mother's brother) also had many interesting stories he shared with me. It was only after their deaths that I began to search on my own. It started at the cemetary where these relatives were buried. My Great-Grandfather had a family plot where many familiar names were engraved into this huge monument. That made it easy to start, but oh, so hard to stop. So, I continue my search; all the way back to the Mayflower (hopefully).
