Upon the death of my father, William Dupont, in June of 1999, I became interested in preserving the story of our family for my children, grandchildren and future generations. When my mother, Irene Hartjes Dupont, broke up housekeeping upon the sale of her house, I gathered photographs of our ancestors with the purpose of compiling a book which will depict our family tree with pictures of past and present family members. It is hoped that this book will be continually updated so that our family story will be preserved.
