Patrick Francis Slensby was born in Ireland about 1869,
to the best of my knowledge, he immigrated to the US in
1882 with his sister Margaret Slensby, who was born in
1873. I don't have any information regarding any others
who accompanied them on their trip to the US. There was
a grandmother living in New York, but I have no name.
Their parents were John Slensby and Margaret Cooney.
Patrick made application to become a citizen in Urbana, Champaign Co. , Ohio 9/15/91. One of the witnesses for
Patrick was Thomas Cooney, apparently related to his
Mother.
The only other information on the parents is that the
Mother, Margaret Slensby showed up on the 1910 Census
indicating that she was visiting her daughter Margaret
Slensby Cronin in Urbana, Ohio, no further info found information found on the mother.
Only other information regarding the childrens family
was some letters I saw as a child from William P Slensby
born in Ireland in 1840, who imm. to US in 1845 who had
a Thimble and Thread Company.
