GEORGE GEITNER & ELIZABETH EICHENMULLER FAMILY

Updated January 13, 2005

About Our Family Research

George Geitner and Elizabeth Eichenmuller are my 4th grandparents back. They came from Germany a year apart. George b. 1812-1814 d. St Marys, PA, md. 9-13-1845. George was 58 yr. in 1870 census. He came to port of NewYork 7-4-1844 ship Anna Emilie, was 31 yr-came alone. He was a farmer, naturalized 1856, filed Elk County records on 4-20-1854.
Elizabeth Eichenmuller can 9-1-1845 on ship Martha, passengers under her name were Anna age 22 yr, Elizabeth Sara age 1 and i trunk. My relatives came from Bavaria and settled in St Marys, PA. Their children: John Baptist (my 3rd grampa); Johann Nicholas; Johannas George; Sara (who came with mother from Germany); Elizabeth b. 1850; and Mary Magdelena (Lena). I have a pedigree chart in myfamily.com for 4 generations. I have found Georg Geitner in Wilfertshofen, Bavaria but I have not found Elizabeth's parents in Bavaria. I have come along way since I originally wrote this, but as of 2004 I am back into the 1700's in Germany (and stuck there!). I have learned my great grandfather was a rebel and probably did some state pen time in Pittsburgh for basically fighting for what he believed in even if it was wrong....striking the Mines (rather embarrassing) Evidentally after he did some time he married a gal from St. Marys and lived in Pittsburgh for a few years and then moved and settled in Warren PA and lived a good life and raised a very nice family that I am proud to be a part of.

My Grandparents, Regis Paul Geitner, Sr. of Warren, PA married Alice Mullen(her dad spelled it Mullins) in 1931 in Warren, Warren, PA. I have been searching for the Mullins/Mullen's and they came from Limerick Ireland to NOrwood, Peterborough, Ontario in 1825 w/Peter Robinson Settlers. From Ontario to USA there is a trail of Mullins. Well actually it was spelled MULLANE in Ireland and due to poor speech/handwriting/census' etc. it went to Mullins and of some odd reason in USA it was seen more often Mullen. Richard Mullen and Margaret Carlow were Alice Mullen(Mullins) parents. I trail off on such surnames as: Eagans, Akins, Carlo and Carlow, Jennings, Gaffney, Shean, O'Shea, O'Leary, Smith, Rapp......the list goes on and on!!! This search is FAR from complete!
