My great-great-great grandfather Joseph Anthony Ely (Ealey) was born in Russell County, Virginia in 1840. His mother was Eleanor Rose of same county, born approximately 1809. We are searching for husband of Eleanor Rose, or Joseph Anthony's father. We believe his father died in 1840, as the 1850 census of Henry County, Tennessee shows Eleanor and Joseph living with Elias Rose in this county, no father shown. Would appreciate any information on this family.
