My great-great grandfather, Adam Ealy, was born in Duaphin Co., PA in 1783. His marriage to Elizabeth Wolaver in Greene Co., TN. produced seven sons. The youngest of these sons, Andrew Jackson Ealy, born in 1831, Greene Co., was my great grandfather.
Andrew Jackson Ealy, his brothers George Washington and ??? left Tennessee to settle in what is now Belle Plaine, Iowa. Their he fathered ten children with his Irish born wife, Letitia McCurdy. One of these children was my grandfather, Robert Douglas Ealy. Rob wed Edna Kathryn Craig in Belle Plaine, Iowa, and to this union my father, Leslie Edward Ealy was born in 1918.
As time allows, I will enter the family tree I am working on and the information I have gathered. I sincerely appreciate the many Ealy researchers who so generously shared their work and guidance with me. I also invite you to share your Ealy family knowledge, history, stories, and photographs with me.
