My surname is EARNSHAW.I am also trying to trace any family members on that side but for now let's concentrate on the BAINBRIDGES. John Edward BAINBRIDGE was a Blacksmith and Beer House Keeper in the area of High Bentham/Settle area of W.Lancs/E.Yorks. His son, Edward BAINBRIDGE was a Blacksmith and Plate Layer. His son, John Edward BAINBRIDGE b. 9th November 1871 was living in Otterburn when he married Elizabeth STEWART at the church in Long Preston on 14th January 1892. John and Elizabeth (my Great-Grandparents) had lots of children of whom my Grandmother togeher with her twin sister were the youngest. Lean (Helena?) married a GI (SISSONS)after WWI and moved to Rhode Island, America. John Edward (after whom my own father is named)was killed during WWI. Bessie married a man named GARVEY and later a man named EARNSHAW.Her son Clifford EARNSHAW married Joyce BAINBRIDGE and they live in New Zealand. Les married and had two sons Frank and Roy.Roy lives in Australia. Horace of whom little is known. David of whom little is known. Vicky maried a TAYLOR and had a son Arnold. Evelyn May b. 22/05/1908 married Freddy GREENWOOD and had a son Walter, later she married Bert RHODES and had a son Austin who lives in Australia.
