I am a direct descendent of Hans Michael Eblen of Hedelfingen, Baden, Germany, born 19 August 1701, died in Germantown, Pennsylvania. His son, John William Eblen, born ca. 1721 in Germantown, Pennsylvania married Mary Warner in 1745 and died in December 1796 in Loudon County, Virginia. Their son, John William II, was born 16 April 1759. He married Anne Whittaker on 30 June 1780 in Loudon County, Virginia. They moved to Roane County, Tennessee after the Revolutionary War. They evidently received a land grant for services related to the Revolutionary War (details unclear at this time. Their descendents in my line remained in Tennessee until my grandfather, Leonard moved the family to Montana in 1920.
