This is the beginning of my research. I know a bit more about my mother's family (McKeon) than my father's. My paternal grandfather was John Eckmann who married Mary Ellen Cassidy. She was born Nov. 12, 1894 and had a sister named Katie who married a Mooney. Seemingly, at some point (WW1?) the name Eckmann was either changed to or from having two n's at the end. I had an uncle John who spelled it with 1 n, although none of his brothers did. The Children were George (died a child), John, Jimmy (died early teens), Billy, Ken, and Arthur (my father). They lived around Melrose avenue in the Bronx, NY. My father, the youngest was born Sept. 7, 1926. I have really no information on the Eckmann's or the Cassidy's. My Grandmother had both Price's and McClellan's in her family. The McKeon's are from Molly, Aughnacliffe, Co. Longford, Ireland. My maternal grandmother was Mary Jo Crow.
