My research starts with Henry Eastham born 1778 who may have been the son of a soldier. He was born either in Ireland or Blackburn lancashire.

He served in the Peninsular wars, joining the Royal Irish Regiment in Ireland in 1809. He came back to Blackburn and married Margaret Byrne from Ireland in 1818.

The family line then moves to Manchester when son Charles born 1829 married Mary Jane Kelly in Manchester in 1849.

There is still a large Eastham family to date. All still in the Manchester area.

My research still focuses on Henry and his ancestors.
