The Downey, Josey, Gonzales heritage is a rich heritage that spans almost 200 years in America. Our earliest know ancestors are: for the DOWNEY FAMILY, William (Bill) Downey, Ella Allen and Charlotte Hatten ; for the JOSEY FAMILY, Charles (Chic) Josey and Margaret-Melissa Blackmon; and for the GONZALES FAMILY, Major John Allen and Cecilia.
Our heritage is anchored primarily in Sealy, San Felipe, and Prairie View, Texas although we now have descendant located all around the United States. Our search for our ancestry and or relatives is an ongoing process.
