I am currently researching the Moirs, Morans and Hearst in my maternal line. Soon I will have a clear picture. So far, what I have found is that Alexander and Ann Moir settled St. Louis sometime prior to 1871. A William Richmond also resided with this family, along with his offspring and wife. However by 1901, this Richmond family had no further issue, and only Moirs remained on this burial plot. William Richmonds' relationship to the Moir's must have been close, as they all resided in the same house. Probably a son in law, or a brother in law. It was William and Alexander Senior who purchased this rather large plot in Bellfontaine Cemetary in St. Louis., which has 15 people buried on it. Another Moir woman,Ellen, who is my maternal Great Great Grandmother lies in Calvary Cemetary, along with her sister, or daughter, Josephine Terrian Moran. I cannot find the link from Josephine to Ellen by name, although there is one, for I heard of them all my childhood. Ellen was 'Great Grandma Moir', and Josephine was "Banty'. The men of the family seem to have dissappeared from the graveyards! So this is my wall for now. The most fun of geneology is solving the mysteries!
