I have only just started to research my family seriously.
I have the birth certificate, passport and marriage certificate of my maternal grandmother, who was Maltese. From these documents I have her parent's names including her mother's maiden name.
My Maltese grandmother was born Marianna Camilleri, her father was Carmelo and her mother was Concetta or Concepta Attard.
Marianna was born in Floriana on 22nd January 1897 she married William Arthur Joseph Arnold, known as Arthur, on 2nd July 1917.
He was in the British army.
My Mother, Dorothy Arnold, was born on 1st October 1918 in Malta
my grandmother travelled to England in November of that same year.
My Mother always maintained that her baptismal names were:-
Dorothea Maria Anna Pablia Concepta, or Concetta
She was christened in the church of St Publius, I think, in Floriana
Marianna had quite a few siblings I met some when I was small
The names that I remember are Charlie, Tony and Martha, who married another English soldier
Charlie's wife was named Jane
