Woodmans in New Zealand

Updated November 9, 2000

About Our Family Research

The Woodmans arrived in New Zealand in April 1840, when the passenger ship carrying immigrants from England called the Bolton arrived at Petone, Wellington.
They were Thomas,b.1811 and his wife Mary nee Lovelock.
His parents were both born in Farleigh, they were Robert b.1777 and Elizabeth b.1781.
I think the next generation back was also Robert and Elizabeth, who married 27 March 1769 in Igtham, Kent.
Records tracing back further than this are sketchy, and I'd love to hear from anyone in England who could help fill in the details.
