Norville Clinton Shock was born in Adamston,WV on Nov. 5,1921 and died in Clarksburg Veterans Hospital on July 19, 1962. He was a decorated disabled veteran. His father George Harrison Shock was born in Brownsville,PA on May 5,1882 and died in Lancaster, Ohio on Jan. 14,1930. His father, Peter Shock was born in Brownsville,PA on June 22,1855 and died in Lancaster, Ohio on Jan.4, l932. They are buried in the Elmwood Cemetery. After that all that we have documented is George Shock listed on Peter's death certificate as father.
The 1850 Perryopolis-Fayette Co.-Pennsylvania census report has George listed as 40 years old and his wife, Tamer as 25 years old, they had two sons at this time John, 5yrs old and William, 3 years old. My sister did some research and from the 1880 census report feels that George and Tamer Shock had the following children: John Shock b. 1845, William b. 1848, George b. 1852-54, Peter b.1856 and Alfred b.1867.
