Includes NotesNotes for John Sr. Nelson:
Birth place of England is listed as probably Judge Nelson sailed into Bath County (now Carteret County) North Carolina in 1702 with his son, Captain John Nelson, Fr. the apparent Master of the vessel, 3 daughters, and other colonists from England Record spelled Judge Nelson's name Nellson. This could have been a spelling error as his son's name was spelled Nelson. I obtained copy of this list from Ships Passenger Lists The South 1538-1825, page 125 Emigrants to Bath County, North Carolina 1695-1702 transcribed in 1916 from old deed book in Craven County, North Carolina, October 28, 1702 by John Nellson, Jr.: Nellson, John, Sr./Nelson, Joan/Nelson, Elizabeth/Capps, Wm./Woddis, Judith/John Nelson, Sr./Nelson, Mary

Children of John Sr. Nelson and ? are:
  1. +John Jr. Nelson, b. Bet. 1670 - 1675, England, d. Abt. 1760, Caraven County, North Carolina.
