Carl Eide was born November 1, 1910 in a small village (Molde) in Northern Norway. He was the oldest of 10 children, born to his father Kristopher and mother ?????? (Petra or Palma). I am just beginning to investigate his ancestry and I hope to find relatives in the USA or Canada and Norway. The names of his siblings are Conrad, Frederick, Palma?, Henry, Samson, Alfred, Bjorne, Qualduff (There could have been two Conrads as one had died in infancy?). We know nothing about my grandfather, Kristopher, except for his Canadian life. He came here with my father Carl (could have been spelt Karl in Norway) and two other sons, Samson and Alfred, in 1928. The mode of transportation was by ship and their first home was in Kenora, Ontario, Canada. Did he have brothers?? sisters?? What were the names of his parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents? Did they branch out to North America as well? Google search has 60 pages of EIDE'S on it, some sites are of artists, lawyers, car dealerships, and E.I.D.E. computer products and technical support. I can't help but wonder if I am related to any of these people. The search goes on.
