I am trying to find my ancestors. My 8th great-grandfather was John Carter, he lived in Gloucestershire, England, and died there in 1627. The members of my mother's family are trying to put together our family tree, with me trying to put a lot of loose ends together. There has been a lot of reserch done and a lot of the ancestors have been found. But our family feels that a lot of connections are still to be made. Like, wasn't Robert E. Lee's wife, or was it his mother who's maiden name was Carter? So right now that is the main project.
