Our Swedish ancestors came to this country around the turn of the century (1902 - 1922) and our Belgian ancestors arrived in 1853. Rockford, Illinois became home to the Swedish relatives. Robinsonville, Wisconsin (Now known as Champion) became the home of the Belgian relatives. Robinsonville (Champion) is a small community about 15 miles northeast of Green Bay, Wisconsin.
I have spent the past 40 years as a teacher in the Wisconsin Heights School district located between Black Earth and Mazomanie, Wisconsin. The first 33 years I was a mathematics and science teacher in the high school and the last 7 years I was the district technology coordinator. My wife, Margaret, (now retired) worked for the University of Wisconsin Hospitals as a Registered Nurse in the operating suite recovery room. I retired at the end of the 2002-03 school year and therefore now have more time to devote to family research. Currently our family tree contains more than 2000 individuals and I am willing to share any and all information I have.
