My name is Mary (Madewell) Eklund. Andrew Jackson & Elizabeth Ellen (Humphrey) Boruff was my maternal great great grandparents.
I have been researching this family about 10 years. I have meet many wonderful cousins through my research. The work continues. I am in the process of compiling a book on Andrew, his ancestors and descendants. It is not something that will be published. I am doing for family members. My great grandmother was Eliza (Boruff) Mcnew, daughter of Andrew and Ellen. She married Joseph Tillman McNew in Union County, Tennessee on February 5, 1885. Their first two sons, William Jackson and James Franklin was born in Tennessee. The McNew's moved to Texas about 1889, first living at Drop, Denton Co., Texas and moving to Howard Co., Texas around 1908 where they lived the remainder of their lives.
Any information on any of the children of Andrew & Ellen Boruff or Andrew and his second wife, Ophra Collingsworth, would be greatly appreciated. I will be adding a family tree soon.
