My Elder Family Tree

Welcome to my family tree. I have to admit, my family history contains some very interesting stories. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
There are 2 branches of my tree so far on this web page. Each group contains 4 generations. Right now, both charts are of the same generation in relation to me. Once I get more charts on the page, I'll come up with a notational system in order to make organization a little easier.
Over the past year I've been researching my dad's family line. From what I can gather so far, they reached Ohio in the early 1800s, probably between 1820-40. In general, many of these lines migrated from the East coast, through PA and onto Ohio. Most of those that followed that pattern arrived in the US in the mid 1700s. I am a direct descendant of at least 2 Revolutionary War veterans and at least one Civil War vet. My cousin Doris Jean has done alot of research on this line. Much more than I have.
My most recent research has focused on my paternal grandma's family, in particular her mother's ancestors. They were from Perry County, OH, Junction City and New Lexington mainly. Family names include Dimond (my great-grandma's maiden name), Dempsey, McGahan, and McGough. Originally, the Dimonds and the Dempseys came from Cambria, County, Pennsylvania.
Please keep in mind, that I've really just started gathering information. The names and dates that I have on this page right now, I got from my grandma and my cousin, Doris Jean. I have very little documentation. As I get more, I'll confirm what I've put up already, so please use what I have now as a guide.
Keep checking back. I upload new information about every 2 or 3 days.
