If you ever thought about tracing your family tree, well I have a treat for you. After many years of African American genealogical research, I have come up with some very big totals. I am part of the Longword, Falaise, Capet, De Warren, De Braci, Brassey, Bracy, Demaree, Demory, Parker, Rival, Moody, Gary, Clyburn, Mungo, James, Huey, Massey, McDow Families of Nigeria, France, England, Gambia, and Native American tribe such as Cherokee, Blackfoot, Souix, Catawba, Wacksaw, Occoneeche, and Island such as Haiti. I was taught by my mother Betty Bynum Eley to never treated others indifferently or deny my true self so trace all the possible lines of my gene pool. The results are astounding. For the first time in African American genealogical history throught the genes of my forefathers and mothers, I have amassed a history filled with history of Negroe, Caucasion and Native American background with also includes two royal lines of the Yoruba tribe of Africa, and the French and English lines of early Europe.
I have the names of over 100 relatives with a compliment of over 2500 names of relative throughout the world. The files are of the Bracy-Demaree-Mungo-McDow families. Include in these lines are the descendants of Rollo the Dane, William the Conqueror, Richard the Fearless, Richard the Good, Eleanor of Normandy, Robert Capet, the Yoruba Nation of Nigeria, The Cherokee Nation. The versatilty of thsi family lives on as I celebrated my anniversary on August 15, 2002. I have proven that the myths of genealogy can be broken if you continue to pursue the dreams that you set for yourself through hard work and persistance.
The Book "From Roots to Branches-Why I Went So Far to Come So Close" is available for sale at this time. The book is about the people who make up the members of these families. The book tells of the history of my mother, Betty Eley and my Father, Richard McDow families.
