The Elliott/Dennis Family Tree

Updated March 9, 2004

About Our Family Research

Currently searching for Missing parts of the Elliott and Dennis Family trees.

Much of the family information comes from research conducted by our families, the internet, and several (perhaps out of print) books including "My Rappahannock Storybook" and "Homes of the Cavaliers" by Katherine Scarborough.

The first Dennises were descended from the Spanish king Milesius before the time of Christ. Their early name was Mc Donogh, which records back to 350A.D. in County Tligo(?) Ireland and the family later migrated to County's Dublin and Cork.

The first of the Dennis name that came to America was John Dennis who sailed on the Merchants Hope in 1638.
