Costello/Gallagher & Jorgensen/Radtke Roots

Updated January 10, 2003

About Our Family Research

I am researching my paternal roots. The family surnames I am interested in are: Costello, Gallagher, Hanley, Gill, Sullivan, Brenner, Magan, Fitzpatrick, and Ryan. These Irish immigrants homesteaded in Winnebago County, Wisconsin in the early 1850's.

My maternal ancestors came from European soil. My Radtke/Schulke branch came from Posen, Poland, but were of German lineage. My Jorgensen/Schmidt ancestors came from Copenhagen, Denmark. Both groups came to the U.S. in the early 1880's, and also settled in Winnebago County, Wisconsin.

I would like to compile a family book documenting their journeys and the history of all subsequent generations. I would appreciate any information that I can include in my work and would be willing to share any of my information with others.
