On June 25, 1917 my Grandmother Margaret Elsie Priem was born to Benjamin and Elsie (VanPatton) Keenan in Mankato Minnesota. She also was a high school graduate from there. During World War II, she worked as a cab dispatcher. She married Eldor Priem on June 24, 1945, in Mankato Minnesota. Later she worked as a foster parent while raising her own family. She moved to Klamath Falls Oregon in 1960 and continued working as a foster parent, taking in more then 50 childern. Mrs. Priem enjoyed sewing and embroidery, and made all of hew own clothing and clothing for her childern. She also enjoyed cooking, collecting glass, going on long rides, and taking walks. On March 16, 2001 she passed away and was layed to rest on May 21, 2001 in the New Ulm Cemetery. Survivors include her daughter Judy Hager (layed to rest on January 13, 2003) and her son Kenny and Violet Priem of Elmore Minneosta. Her grandchildern are Wanda Anderson of Minnesota Lake, Tammy Forbes of Washington and Margaret Emerson and her husband Dwight, Tone Hager; and nine great grandchildern.
