My Great Grandfather was Robert Alexander Enkel, born 13th July 1857 in London. He owned a pub, The Enkel Arms, in Seven Sisters Road, London. His grandfather was Robert Enkel or Inkel, born 10th Dec.1769 in Stepney, London. Robert senior had a brother, John Enkel or Inkel. Their parents were John and Mary.

Robert Enkel senior became a butcher and was married to Esther Lepper, daughter of Robert Lepper, born around 1776.

My Grandfather, Charlie Enkel's first marriage, 5.2.1898, was to Charlotte Kate Kenny Howard. She was the daughter of Ellen Kenny, from Wicklow County, Ireland, and (Thomas) William Howard jnr. Sadly Charlotte died shortly after her wedding. Her Great- Grandmother was Katherine Howard, born around 1831 in East Hanningfield, Essex. She later married (1) John Prail and later (2) John Kinning, a laundryman from Islington, London.
