I have been searching for ten years. I have found incredible information by going to the Family History Center in Los Angeles. I have also been to the National Archives in NYC. I have been to Ellis Island three times and both my parents name are on the wall. I have given presentations on Beginning Genealogy and Ellis Island. I belong to the Jewish Genealogical Society of Los Anges and of the newly formed Jewish Genealogical Society of the Conejo Valley and Ventura norht of Los Angeles, CA. I had a family reunion eight years ago in NYC as I was the only one in CA. I displayed what I had found including pictures and documents. When I found my parents and their family in the 1900 NY Census That got me hooked. I have a lot of help from my friends in Genealogy and try to help beginners. I've been to the cemetaries in NY and have pictures of the early 1900's and many documents that I sent away for. It's an endless journey. I took several classes and have met the most helpful folks. I've been to cemetaries after finding the Death Certificates. My sister and Brother gave me a lot of information as did cousins. My Gedcom is on Family Search.com and Familytreemaker.com ans JewishGen.org on their FTJP.(Family tree of the Jewish people.
