I have been searching the Ebert family for many years. The family can be traced back to 1790 in Pa.. Thats when Adam Ebert was born. I believe it was in Northampton Cnty. but have not been able to prove that.
Adam had a son Adam born in 1833 in Ohio, he in turn had a son James born in Elkhart Cnty. In. James was bn in 1861 and died in 1945 Mishawaka In. When James started school in Elkhart Cnty. They spelled his name EPERT and he never bothered to change the spelling. He also had a sister Dora.
We have a family reunion each summer, this summer will be in the
Fox Lake, Ill. area, next year will be in the Syracuse, IN. area, 2004 will find us in the state of Utah.
As far as I have been able to asscertain all Epert's in the U S are directly related to me. I have found a few records from Texas of Epert's in the 1920's that were not conected but have
lost this line.
If there is anyone out there with info on Epert's and or Ebert's
please contact me.
Adam Ebert bn.19 Jan 1790 ma Hannah Garrett bn Feb 1801
They were ma. circa 1820, had a da Catherina 1822. She was ba in the Lutheran and Reformed church in Freidensberg, Pa. They had a da Maria about 1828, a son Charles 1830, a son Adam 1833, a son William 1839 and a da. Hannah 1844. These are all the children I have been able to prove.Adam and Hannah are buried in the Benton Lutheran cemetary in Benton, In. Adam Jr. ma Margaret Juday in Elkhart Cnty, Clinton tnsp. in 1857. They are buried in the Solomon Creek cemetary just south of Benton, In. They had a son James who ma Martha Showers in Kosciusko Cnty. In. He is bu in the Jefferson cemetary? in Mishawaka,In. I find no record of her death. James had a son John Epert who ma Blanche Bradley Frame.
They had 5 children,Ruth J. Frame, Walter J. Epert, Adam Carlyle
Epert, John E. Epert and Bernice V. Epert
