Zev Wolf Halevi Epstein was born about 1810 we think in or around Dyatlovo. He had 2 children that we know of. A daughter who was never married (name unk) and a son Avraham Eliezer Epstein. Avraham had 5 known children with his first wife (name unk) Sarah Fishkowitz(Epstein),Morris, Bertha Alpert(Epstein), Isaac and Freide. Morris had a wife and three children in Belarus but left for England. He divorced his wife, remarried and had 9 children in London. Sarah and Bertha both settled in the NY/NJ area. We have no info on Isaac or Friede. Avraham remarried Rachel Leah and had 2 known children. Max and Rose Briskin(Epstein). Rose moved to Cuba and lived there untill the late 1940s or early 1950s when they moved to the Miami,FL area. We think either her husband or son-in-law was a barber. We don't know how long they lived in FL. but they were supposed to have moved to L.A. CA. from there. We have no further info after that. Max(my grandfather)lived in the NY/NJ area. There is also a theory that our family came from a Sephardic family named Benveniste that left Spain/Portugal during the Inquisition. We have this info for about 20 years but keep hitting a stone wall trying to go back farther although we have added many descendants of Zev Wolf.
