I started researching my family in 2000. I have discovered that there was a lot of family stories, that were just that, stories. My mother's family are mostly Russian, Prussian, Houganot French, and Irish. My father's family are mainely German, Scotch and Irish. There is one branch that I can't find the origin for and that is the main line of Stannard. I've had a lot of help in finding out about the other lines in my family tree. I've also began to work on my husbands side. They are Norwiegan all the way. My family names include, Stannard, Clark, Simpson, Bard,(Beard, or Baird), Meade, Reed, McCormick, McGuire, Lanphear, McKee, Weyand, Riffel, Schnell,Schmidt,Kessler, and several other names that are tied to my family from aunts and uncles.
