Today is February 12, 2012, and according to Astrology,
it is my "Jupiter Return" date
because every 12 years the planet Jupiter
returns to the same position it was in
when you were born.
This is a time for a new venture,
and to create opportunities for myself.
I want to do something new this political campaign season.
I have been on the official election ballot in Vermont
every two years starting 2002,
and I have never won an election.
Jupiter Return is supposed to bring you Luck,
according to Astrologers.
So, this campaign season, I'm going to flaunt some of my
ancestry and genealogy
for the very few television debates I will be invited to because
as a non-Democrat and non-Republican,
I am severly disregarded and discriminated against
in ways I consider unlawful in my political campaign
- but I will set those issues aside from this forum.
I am going to wear my Ancestral Arrow Heads and Spear to the political candidate debates this season.
I did write to U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders,
who I am running against for the seat he holds at the moment,
and asked him if my arrowheads and spear would be considered a "weapon".
I don't want to show up for one of the very few television debates
I will be invited to,
and then get immediately escorted out by the Secret Service, which guards United States Senators.
I explained in my e-mail to U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders
that these arrowheads and the spear
were handed down to me,
and that Great Aunt Annie and Great Cousin Willet Magruder
did the original research using actual birth and Church records and the National Archives,
and traced one line of our ancestors
back to the same tribe as Pocahantas in Virginia.
Well, today, for my "Jupiter Return" in 4 degrees Taurus,
I am going to finally dig into the back of the closet
and take out my mother's boxes of family history.
My mother passed away in 2003,
and I have put this off all this time.
But, today is the day.
I have not received a reply yet from U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders as to if these items might be considered "weapons".
I can see on the internet that some blogger complained
about the TSA at an airport taking away their Arrowheads.
By putting my ancestry here,
it is possible that will help in my desire to wear some of these items without being accused of showing up at a political debate with "weapons".
The last time I was on television in a debate with
U.S. Senator Bernard Sanders was in 2006
on Vermont Public Television.
Well, here goes, I'm off to go dig in the closet and open the boxes....

I have to take a break, I'm amazed at what is in
the old boxes from the closet. This isn't just about
my ancestry, this is about tracing the family heritage
of Negroes in the United States of America.
There are letters to my great, great, great grandfather, an attorney,
in a leather packet tied with some kind of string,
Josiah H. Magruder, Esq. ( 1795-1873)
Hemp Lawn, Shelbyville, Shelby County, Kentucky,
with letter dates ranging from 1822 to 1849, so far, includes receipt for
SUGAR TONGS AND SOME NEGROES.
My older brother, George Magruder Ericson,
has the 1763 sugar tongs that belonged to
Hezakiah Harding Magruder.

These letters show a lot about the doings
amongst the various litigants in Shelbyville, Kentucky
PRIOR TO THE CIVIL WAR.
I thought I could get my ancestry search done this afternoon,
but I have to take this very slowly, these letters are old and
crinkly, can't be scanned.
