About Our Family Research


Anna Bibel Stes and George Stes were parents of twin girls born October 6, 1899. Anna and Maria were baptized atSt John Nepomncene Church 411 East 66th Street New York, NY 10021. Maria was taken to the Ney York Foundling Home November 14,1899 by her mother Annie at 4:00. From The New York Foundling Home she was "Sent West" June 2, 1902 on an ORPHAN TRAIN, and was later adopted by Gudula Metzen Helten at St Marks, Kansas. She is the Mother of George L Erker. We are looking for Anna, twin sister of Maria. She was not left at the New York Foundling Home and we do not know what has happened to her.
