I, James Kenneth Esbeck was born October 2, 1944 in Carroll, Iowa to my parents Elmer and Sylvia Esbeck. I grew up in the Danish "Twin-Cities" of Kimballton and Elk Horn, Iowa.
My Grandfather was Martin N. Esbeck who was born in Brovst, Denmark and settled in the Kimballton, Iowa area. He and my grandmother had nine children. Ubfortunately, I was born too late to meet my grandparents.
I currently live in Tucson, Arizona along with my wife Judith. Our daughter Ruthy also lives in Tucson. We have three grandchildren, Jason, Michelle, and Nathan and one great-grandson, Trayson.
I retired from US Civil Service in January 2001 as an Aircraft Quality Assurance Supervisor/Manager with the Arizona Air National Guard.
I have a sister, Ellen Marie(Esbeck)Timm who resides in Mingo, Iowa with her husband Darold, son's David Andersen and Michael Timm. My sister Ellen and her son David accompanied me on a wonderful trip to our grandparents home land of Denmark in 1985. I hope that I can return again to visit this beautiful country with so much heritage.
