MY husband Bill Essex and I are researching his father's and his grandmother's line.
The Essex family on his father's side and the Cone family on his grandmother's line.
On the Essex line his GGGG great grand father Joseph Essex migrated from West Virginia to Kentucky.One of his grandsons went on to Arkansas, where he settled and raised his family.
The Cone family on his grandmother's side came from North Carolina, went on to Tennessee, and then to Arkansas.
We just started working on the Cone family,going back to his GGG R.L. Cone, whose father was Greenberry Cone.
We are now in the process of researching R.L.Cone and Greenberry Cone.
